This image is of an American soldier who fought in the Korean War. It started out as an image on a small slide, which I then converted into a digital photograph. It was then turned into a digital negative and processed as a cyanotype on canvas material. I used baking soda to tone it.

The original photograph was an image of freezing rain and snow hitting the side of a taxi cab window on a lit up drive through downtown Chicago in December on the way to the annual Andrew Bird Gellegheid show at the Presbyterian church on Chestnut and Michigan Ave.

The letters at the top of the piece spell "Alpha Omega" in Korean script because this was originally a water damaged slide of a Korean girl taken in 1952 during the Korean War.
